Scope of Works
The scope of works included liner inspections and replacements across the LGDC1 dribble chute and LGAF1/LGAF2 wall liners, with additional lip liners installed and lifting lugs and welding as required. Works also covered the removal of corroded 2-inch water lines and installation of 100 metres of new 8-inch pipework with mining hose along the 2C conveyor. Mechanical support was provided for pump change-outs, including rigging, lifting, and alignment, along with the replacement of fish ball lids and securing of loose or broken bolts.
Additional tasks included lifting new support beams at the 2C conveyor, repairing leaking spray lines and pipework on both the 1C and 2C conveyors, and installing new grease lines on the 21M conveyor. Approximately 30% of the work was performed using rope access techniques to safely access elevated and confined areas. Where access challenges arose, such as at the trouser leg of the dribble chute, we developed a safe and practical plan before completing the works.
